What is Bittensor?

Bittensor is a decentralized AI network where 128+ subnets compete to build the best AI models. TAO is the native token. When you stake TAO into a subnet, you earn daily emissions — like dividends for backing AI innovation.

What is dTAO Staking?

dTAO (dynamic TAO) lets you stake directly into individual subnets instead of just validators. Each subnet has its own alpha token. When you stake, your TAO is converted to alpha tokens. You earn emissions proportional to your share of the pool.

Emission Yield
Daily TAO emissions distributed to stakers. Like interest — you earn just by holding your position.
Alpha Tokens
Each subnet has its own token. When you stake TAO, you receive alpha tokens. Their price moves based on demand.
Pool Liquidity
Total TAO locked in a subnet. Higher liquidity = less price impact when you stake/unstake. Safer for large positions.
Deregistration Risk
Subnets can be deregistered if they underperform. Your stake is returned, but at the exit price. Check DeReg Risk before staking.
Momentum Score
SubnetAIQ's proprietary -100 to +100 signal. Combines price action, liquidity flow, and miner activity to time entries and exits.
Pre-Pump Radar

How much TAO do I need to start?

You can stake as little as 0.1 TAO. There's no minimum to get started. Even 1 TAO will earn you daily emissions.

Is my TAO safe when staking?

Staking through SubnetAIQ is non-custodial — your TAO stays in your wallet. We never hold your keys or funds. You sign each transaction with your wallet extension.

How do I choose which subnet to stake in?

Use our TAO Wheel for grade-based analysis, Pre-Pump Radar for timing entries, and the Staking Calculator for yield projections. Start with high-liquidity subnets (50K+ TAO pool) for lower risk.

Can I unstake anytime?

Yes. Unstaking is instant on Bittensor. Your alpha tokens convert back to TAO at the current exchange rate. Note: if the alpha price dropped, you may receive less TAO than you staked.

What are the fees?

SubnetAIQ charges a 0.5% service fee on staking transactions. This is how we keep the entire site free with no subscriptions or paywalls.

What happens if a subnet gets deregistered?
