The Problem Every Bittensor Miner Faces
128 subnets. Limited TAO for registration. No way to know which ones will actually pay you back. Until now.
We built Mineability Scores — a 0-100 rating for every subnet based on real on-chain data. Not hype. Not Twitter sentiment. Actual earnings distribution.
Top Subnets to Mine Right Now
Updated live at subnetaiq.io/mineability. Here are the current leaders:
MINE-rated subnets (score 60+) have:
- High earning ratio — most miners on the subnet earn something
- Low concentration — no single miner monopolizes rewards
- Fair distribution — your chances of earning are real
What Makes a Subnet Worth Mining?
We look at 5 factors:
- Earning Ratio — if only 1 out of 256 miners earns, you probably will not either
- Gini Coefficient — measures how evenly rewards are spread (0 = equal, 1 = monopoly)
- Top-1 Share — if the top miner takes 90%+, it is effectively a closed system
- Emission — how much TAO the subnet receives daily
- Registration Cost — how much you burn to get a slot
Subnets to Avoid
These common traps catch new miners:
- Monopolized subnets — one miner earns everything, the rest earn zero
- Dead subnets — registered miners but no active validation
- Demo mode subnets — the platform is not accepting real submissions
- Hardware-locked subnets — requires specific GPUs or software that may not be available
